Hi everyone! I am Michelle Martinez Ugalde and this are my votes for the stories:
• The most strange story: "The lige of Alien", this is a very strange storie because I didn't undesrtand the purpose of it.

Of course the saddest story must go to “The story of my first puppy”, I can´t stop my tears, a pet is one of the best things that could happen to a family and its lost is pretty sad…
“Pepe´s story”, oh man, you really knew how to describe those terrible sensations in the stomach. My complete romantic live pass in front of my eyes, that´s why I think this is the most touching, and romantic, story of all…
I think “Once on Monday” is the most frightening story. Yes, I´m not kidding. Can you imagine how embarrassing would that be with all eyes staring at you, specially if those eyes are from little kids, because kids will never forget a mistake made in public (ahhh!!!!)
The story which we could learn something is “The worst bet I have done”. We learn that if we care about our appearance and have any chance to win some bets, it´s better if we are “seguidores” of a better team, Ja!, it´s a joke. This is the most daring story; I wish I have your guts…
I think the funniest story is “My first alcoholic drink & long relationship”. Oh, I wish your friend had taken a picture from you when your new boyfriend saw you at the Wednesday´s mourning and said: “Sweet darling, my beloved one, my heart is so broken that only your kiss could stitch it back together in one piece with you.” And maybe you just fall to his arms unconscious…

If I had not all ready voted for the most daring story, I would vote for “My experience at UNAM”, we should give this one at least the UNAM´s medal to merit, something less would be worthless…
“The story of my boyfriend and I”. Wow, not even the soup operas are cornier than this story. The category for the pinkest story goes to this one…
“Strange meeting, wonderful beggining(*)” this is the most honest story, I´m talking about the end of the story, that saved all the text… By the way, were you beginning, or begging, or begging to begin (*)? Begging to begin what, the last part?, Uh nasty boy, ja! It´s a cool word-game, ja!
Once I read Schwendimann from Robert Walser, I was really please with the reading. Of course we must think the strangest story is “The life of Alien”, and of course strange does not implied necessarily novelty…
The best story of all the stories or perhaps the one that like me the best, was “The first time I went to cinema alone”. When you write “I find real the imaginary world of movies” is all we have to listen to imagine how much something could be a worth part in your life… And also is so innocent (in a good sense) that we must give a big applause to the story…
At last but not the least (ruidos de discusión)… the most amazing (stop mom), increeedible (stop!, I´m making my homework), astonishing… (leave the computer, please) is “My way”, Uhhh!!!

Hi! Well i really enjoyed reading your histories, and this are my votes:
1. The daring story: Nelly with "Cuernavaca Police station in".
Fernanda and Renata were candidates too, but the Nelly's story is more exiting.
2. The saddest story: Itzel with "The story of my fist puppy". Obviouslly this is the only one. Snif Snif.
3. The funniest story: Reyna with "My fist alcoholic drink and long relation ship". Oscar, "The indiscret bus", Jessica, Eloisa, Denisse, Dani and Astrid were candedates too, but Reyna won because this history coulbe unbelive but its true and really funny because she got and a boyfriend when she was drunk and sleppy!!!!
4. The original story: Aaron with "The life of Alien", Armando was a candidate too, but the Aaron's story contains suspense and mistery so thats make it more interesting.
5. The romantic story: Luis F. with "Guadalajara and the sun dancer Yolanda". Pepe and Michelle were candidates too, but Luis is more real telling love's stories!
6. The touching story: Karla with "My super mom". Daniel and Elena was candidates too, but I love this story because show the really love!!!

Hi, yesterday I had technical problems to publish my comments, but now here is my opinion:
I think all stories were great. I saw an effort of my classmates to share their experiences. So I don’t agree with select "the most... story" in each category.
I consider that this competition is unnecessary. The main point of this activity, I think, was, first of all, to express our ideas in English. Anyway everybody published his poster. Thus, everybody expressed his ideas in English. Second one, everybody shared part of his experiences. I don't know how to measure the feelings. What is the criterion to choose between Elena’s feeling when she met her friend and Itzel´s feeling when she lost her pet? Another example: how to compare Cesar’s feeling when he went alone, for the first time, to the cinema (when he said to us that the cinema was his life) with Marguil´s first trip alone in the Subway or Raizza´s trip abroad? I think the game of Oscars is kind of wicked. May be you are thinking that I am exaggerated, but I am sorry this is “my way”. So I prefer to give my opinion about stories. Of course it would be al most impossible to comment all stories: the space is very short and I don’t like to write down and down. I liked a lot the title of Oscar’s story this is “strange meeting, wonderful beginning”. I think this is very precise according to the story he tells. Besides, it sounds very nice and also the description of the girl is very good. I enjoyed all stories that told embarrassing situations, such as: “The Indiscreet Bus”, “The worst bet I’ ve done in my life” “A nanny’s day”, “Once on Monday”, “The Hero Dies in The One”, with this story I learnt new words. On the other hand, I was, frightening, in suspense, etc. when I read “Once upon a time…” (this situation is very common in the subway and it is horrible), “A day I will never forget”, “THE WORST VACATION OF MY LIFE”, “ A Cuernavaca’s Police Station in”, “Reading the small letters”.
Of course I remembered my first girlfriend when I read “THE STORY OF MY BOYFRIEND AND I”, “PEPE’S HISTORY” and “Guadalajara and a sun dancer, Yolanda”; and I remained when I met my best friend, Martha, when I read “Elia & Elena” and “The day I met someone special”.
On the other hand, I felt identified with the next stories: “The story of my first puppy” (because I have a dog and I love him, and there was a time, when he was a puppy, which I almost lost him), “MY EXPERIENCE AT UNAM” (because it is to hard to enter in It, but is harder to keep in It. Monica is a good example that it is possible to make your dream come true, despite having difficult situations) and “MY SUPER MOM” (when I started to read the story I thought that the appropriate title should be “My super dad”, because Karla tells many details about his father, only at the end she talks about her mother in a very brave action.
I have to say that I laughed a lot when I read “A Strange Day” I could imagine the situation: an American English teacher trying to speak Spanish (mmm, hhh), in front of two little boys laughing at her. I think that it was very funny.
On the other hand, I consider that “My way” has its own way to tell a story. I enjoyed when the two boys go jumping on the streets. Nevertheless, I have to say that I didn’t like the beginning, specially, the distinction between “good” and “bad” way. That distinction sets the category of ‘educational story’, according to Pepe. If the story is read with this category, I have to say that it is the English version of Savater’s work. Of course I don’t like Savater nor his educational work. I am not quite sure about if the story wanted to transmit a moral lection, perhaps, yes, due to at the end it says that the boy fell down because he didn’t keep his hands out of the jacket (an adult recommendation). He did the bad way, it is, his way and he fell down, but may be even if he had kept his hands out, he felt down too. In that case he had done his way (the good way) too, or what do you think, Armando?
Finally, in attention to César’s question, I have to say that of course, I read El extranjero. I imagine that you thought that my Alius (or Alien) was a copy of Camus’ character. If you think that, I don’t agree with you. Camus´character is not a strange man, he is an absourd man. Throughout of the story he was not able of his condition, may be at the end he realized that. He was a death convicted, he didn’t want to die. On the other hand, my Alien knows his condition, it is, he knows that he doesn’t belong to anywhere. For my Alien the death is a possibility to run away from his feeling. So may be he accepts to die. Camus’ character looks strange for everybody; the Alien is strange. The topic of Camus’ character is the absourd and behind of this topic is Nietzsche, the first Nietzsche, it is, the Nietzsche of Nacimiento de la tragedia…; the topic of the Alien is the feeling of foreignness, and behind of this topic are the thinkers of exile like Kertész, Semprúm, etc. Besides, Hegel, Borges, etc. What do you think about my opinion, César?

I will call this comment “A defense of Telling stories activity”.
There is an erudite pretention (in the sense of pretentious) of saying and answering much more that what really is someone asking (in the sense of saying something depper). For the sake of the activity which I think almost everyone have enjoyed, we could give a vote for the best story we loved, or liked, or anything else.
If I say that Pepe´s story is more romantic than other, or the story of my first puppy is the saddest, no one would think that I´m judging the life of anybody (If there´s a problem of measure of the feelings, there are pills for that, ja, it is a joke). We could stay in common sense, we are judging stories, and we could say “I like this story, I think is the best” like in my case I think Cesar´s story is the best and then I could say why I think so. But please, stay on earth, or similar… and give a vote…

“On the other hand”, we must inaugurate a new category which I suggest the best “Carlos…” story, (yes, because of Trejo, Castaneda, Cuauhtémoc Sánchez…) and give it to the one I think that also won the most touching story of all, I refer Aaron´s speech. I can´t understand what you wrote or ask, (is the second time that happened to me).
Of course is better by compared with Camus that with Savater (ja!, that was good) but a different thing is to be able of write like them. Personally, I can´t, is too much deep, of course I´m referring Savater´s work.
Well, but at the end I could understand something of the pretention of absurd: To everyone who feel identified with the Alien of Aaron (or Aaron´s alien, or the Aaron alien, I don´t know), if this is about the absurd, there is a cure for that feeling, the best I know and have read, which is the laugh… and that is the intention, I think, if you want to go out of absurd felling, just read Aaron´s words to laugh… of course, to read it we must have read a lot more…

Well, Thank you Aaron for answer me. So, I put that cuestion because I am interesting in to know your opinion, I agree with you, The problem with the identity is very complex. I remember other case, for example one song of The Doors, PEOPLE ARE STRANGER, I don´t know for me the topic is very working, but I have freedom and I vote, that´s it.
“On the other hand”, this story it´s more interesting two Philosophers fight them, with arguments, that´s good I like it.
In this case I agree (a little) with Aaron, because I think that The categories mustn´t exist, Why??, For example, I like Marguil´s story but I didn´t know what categories put it. I send her one email and I ask her: “Your story is good, but which is the categories of your story???? It´s only one example, I think that the teacher must have told us: 3 votes by one person. At the end adds to the votes.
Finally, I have a question What is the reason for the student are voting??? Because you are my friend, because I don´t understand anything about your story but I vote for you, because your story is very long, because I like you or You like me, I don´t know, Where is the analysis????

well, about all coments, when someone say: "I liked all stories", I think it could be just a easy way to be well with everyone,you know,I could write the same: " I liked all the stories", but that's false, you know, if I liked some story I just included it in my votes it doesn't mean that the felling of somebody is not real or I don't care it, so, this is just a homework, don't be punks... jaja
I think the categories are useful but sometimes just doesn't matter, like the music, is not the same the nü metal and the black metal, or the progresive metal, but when a band is greater than the category, it's just music, it's art.
